Statins appear to do about as much harm as good, more exercise unlikely to help tackle childhood obesity, flu vaccines and Tamiflu still not very effective (despite what some doctors may think).

I had a slight stroke in 2007 and was prescribed the standard three tablets including Statins. I suffered all sorts of side effects that included causing gout. I decided to stop taking the tablets but living in fear that I should be taking them.
It was stated that there was a target reading of cholestral, thinning of blood etc trying to make me into a designer man (I am 73 years and I think fit)I also follow a healthy diet and active
What am I to do?
… and now it’s statins for adolescents. What?
