The biggest irony of the “Heart Healthy” high carb low fat diet is what happens to the excess carbs: they are converted into palmitic acid which last time I looked is one of those instantly lethal saturated fats.
Which as a lot of research now shows are NOT instantly lethal, except in the presence of high levels of insulin. Which is a result of eating excess carbs . . .
