I agree with that, and particularly think individuals need to be careful about inferring causality from epidemiological studies.

When people start regarding sugar as a drug that is as equally dangerous to our health as any other drug of dependence then and only then will we see the general health of the world improve. if you don’t believe sugar is addictive try eliminating it from your diet for a period of 2 weeks or more the initial reaction of your body is withdrawl – headaches, pain and shaking & lethargy which most people think is because of the low carb diet but in a word Duh! it is the sugar withdrawl you are feeling not the increase in meat & fat consumption.

Gluten intolerance is another factor to consider in infertility. The book Dangerous Grains lists infertility and irregular cycles as possible related to such an intolerance. Thus it may be that particular carbs — gluten-containing grains — are the source of the problem.
